THE K2 PRINCIPAL FUND L.P. ACQUIRES COMMON SHARES OF PETAQUILLA COPPER LTD.
The K2 Principal Fund LP has acquired common shares of Petaquilla Copper Ltd.As a result of the acquisition of such shares, K2 owns 8,146,000 commonshares, representing approximately 5.07 per cent of the issued and outstanding commonshares of Petaquilla Copper.
The common shares were purchased by K2 in the open market on the TorontoStock Exchange. K2 acquired the securities for investment purposes only andmay, depending on market and other conditions, increase or decrease itsbeneficial ownership, control or direction over, or exercise its currentrights to acquire, common shares or other securities of Petaquilla Copperthrough market transactions, private agreements or otherwise.
