Maybe you should have invested in Rockley instead. How many years, how much money on the same platform. $400, $500 million applying the best waveguide technology that conventional, monolithic SOI silicon photonics can achieve. And no product  to offer for all that work, time and most of all the enormous amount of money spent. They got that money because the silicon industry is totally stuck when it comes to optical integration in an automated fabrication flow. Hopes are now pinned on Ayer Labs but I think they are trying to do too much and really accepting too many compromises to do it. But what choice do they have? Throw whatever you can at the wall and hope it sticks.

Try to look beyond POET and recognize what Suresh has done. It might just amaze you how far they have come with so little in such a short period of time. But first you need to understand how groundbreaking this platform is and that requires listening instead of just talking the same craap that has been going on here for years. Honestly it must be exhausting for people here that just want to throw stones all the time and be so negative.

Look at what other companies are doing and try to understand or acknowledge the differences. Do a deep dive instead of the negative assumptions that this forum is generally known for. This endless criticism without comparing the metrics that POET has achieved with this platform. It has taken time but really how else does it get done without brilliant innovators who see what is needed and take a very methodical approach to meet the criteria required to be successful at a differentiated and sustainable roadmap. Low cost mass production within the existing ecosystem using the best that industry has to offer for specific applications without dependency on the same old that cannot scale. This is early for POET.  Tired of waiting . Yes we are. But anything worth doing is worth doing right. I think when Suresh is able to unveil the names of companies who are depending on POET to address their problems the market is going to do very quick about face.

Clarification: It appears to be some of the old posters here that continue to support a distorted view and apparently just want to find reasons to complain. Some of the new posters appear to be dialed into interesting perspectives. The objective view is refreshing.
