In my opinion (speculation), it does not seem to add up at the moment because we are in the dark at a inflection point of change for Poet? Perhaps, Poet has finally reached that inflection point to bring in key financier(s), dark(blackout period) might be due to negotiations and details being ironed out with conditional guarantees before such can be made public ---- for instance, to solve the mystery.
I am speculating the Celestial AI has access to deep pockets and since Poet seems very important to them, they might act as a White Knight to bring stability to Poet so that they can advance their world class solution into the market. Maybe there will be a new board seat for whomever party and Poet management might have to compromise for a shiny white knight? Just a guess. Why I say that is that it seems Poet cannot continue to follow the same types of financings they've done in the past. Something must be different now.

The Problem is, Poet cannot raise money. Cannot raise money while EVERYTHING is fine and dandy according to the latest updates, MD&A. The Problem is Poet does not give a viable explanation why nobody is willing to finance Poet.
