Never received an inheritance until I was 68 years old. Everything I have I made it on my own without financial assistance from my family.  Learned how to build a house with my own hands without the benefit of a long term mortgage which I paid off in five years.  The inheritance is the equivalent of four years on ODSP.  I have been buying shares off and on for the last decade.

In all fairness, Poetwhen, Warren Buffett has said he invests in what he understands. Even if something might be very good (as Poet can potentially be), he does not invest in what he does not understand. When I read posts here and at Adora, I see that there a many posters that do not understand Poet. When you place YOUR VIEW and YOUR STANDARDS on Poet and your expectations are too far out there

Warren Buffet is always late to the party.  I'm sure he thinks a semi conductor works at the back of a train....lol He doesn't have the foresight to see any further than the last decade. He missed out on Amazon, Google, Facebook...and will miss out on Poet too. Poet will be on his radar once they are paying dividends some day in the future. Unfortunately

Actually my portfolio has done better than Berkshire Hathawy the last year and especially the last month thanks to catching the bottom on a number of stocks including Poet and Shopify amongst others. Life is good and i I am not stuck enjoying a Canadian winter like you are freezing your dumb numb azz off.....lmao

He's conservative in his investment choices for sure, but what he owns are powerful companies. He is probably among the best in the world at picking conservative stocks that peform, especially with dividends for decades. He's not perfect though and no one is. Technology is not his thing, but you are write if any well-known tech company paid regular growing dividends, he would probably bite
