FJ said POET has no competition

Nice of BreadAndCircuses to post information on competing tech/companies.
In 2022 Marvell Technology introduced industrys first 800G optical engine. Now Suresh has acknowledged that POET needs to modify its optical engine with EML which is an industry standard.
POET will need money to do this in the next yeat or two.
Do you have any idea what the marketcap of Marvell Tech is?
Take a wild guess........$46 BILLION

Again, it just begs the question, why wouldn't a $46 Billion dollar company not take a stake in POET? I have no doubt that Marvell's R&D for the optical engine is probably many times the marketcap of POET. If the pie is that huge, wouldn't a prudent manager put a small percentage of your R&D on a possible tech that may disrupt your business?
