Tanco Mine- Increasing Cesium DemandVery interesting to see Sinomine exploring options to get the remaining resources out of the support pillars at the Tanco Mine
with a specific eye towards the Cesium.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/sinomine-tanco-expansion-manitoba-1.6897808 It will be interesting to see how that situation plays out given the rocky geo-political situation at this time- pun intended. If the Canadian government decides to get involved in a similar fashion to Power Metals and impedes or restricts their expansion in that location, the importance of an alternate source of Cesium becomes that much more important.
This reaffirms to me why this could be a strong prospect, if the summer's drilling program can establish an economic quantity of Cesium on the property. It really does come down to the results of the drill program.
An added bonus is that the forest fire situation has also significantly de-escalated as COC007 to the east of the property has been redesignated to 'being held' from 'out of control' with rain forecast in the near future for the Cochrane area. Given the prevailing wind direction and the location of the access roads, this wasn't an immediate risk to Power Metals Corp, but definitely unnerving to have a 37000 hectare fire burning nearby.
