Thoughts on trading Juniors!

Thoughts on trading Juniors!
I learned many years ago that I never go into a trade on the basis of how high it may go. If I am bullish on a project the sky is certainly the limit if the project works out. A perfect example of this would be Great Bear whereas if you owned it at .45 who could have guessed it would get taken out at $29.00? How about PMET at .35 who could have guessed it would trade as high as $17.00? So instead of guessing how high the market may go, I look at the risk in holding the shares and the what if scenario. If the project stalls and no longer shows promise I am out immediately! If the project shows promise and the market moves up, I may decide to add to my position while at the same time keeping my risk numbers in line with the originals. If the market pulls back and the project is showing promise I might also add as my risk profile improves. IMO there are only two ways this market can destroy your capital. 1) You don't have a pre-determined risk level that if hit you can live with the predetermined loss. 2) With juniors you must be careful with size as moving a large position when the project disappoints tends to create an illiquid market and makes moving a large position near impossible without pushing the market lower and deepening your losses. Not trying to tell anyone how to trade just sharing some lessons this Senior Citizen has learned over the years.
