I know that you have been posting for many years, so you have probably run in to this type of situation before. On the otherhand, I am new at this, and have much to learn.
But I guess I believe that in this case it is pretty much a new company, and not just in name.
The Board and Senior Management are basically all new, and appear to bring with them very strong, up-to-date, and relevant, science-based exploration knowledge of the GT, as well as a seemingly professional business acumen that should benefit QEX commercially as it grows and develops if/when they make a significant discovery.
Further, although Colorado had built up a strong stable of properties, this land base has been further enhanced with the addition of the Moat property, thereby filling in the gap between our original Castle property and GT Gold’s Saddle South discovery, now we own right up to their border and are only a couple of hundred metres or so from their last drill hole – we now also have the potential of the Sofia property, which we should know more about in the next while. Although very strong before, QEX’s assembled land is now even stronger, particularly in the critical Castle area.
Lastly, you mentioned the reverse share split, or consolidation – I am one of those shareholders who was affected. Over time Colorado had issued many, many shares to fund its acquisition of these properties, operate the company, and conduct certain exploration on some of its properties. So, the share consolidation was timely given all the other changes…. happening and I believe it puts us in a far better position, with a firmer capital base, as we go forward.
Today I feel far more positive about QEX’s future than I have for the last couple of years. As I mentioned in a prior post, I have invested more since the consolidation and in fact now own 20% more shares than I did prior to it – I just mention this to illustrate I do believe we have an extraordinary opportunity and am committed to it – although I understand that it is still speculative.
I decided, for me, that this is a risk worth taking – I believe it is a relatively extraordinary set of circumstances – obviously I hope I am right.
In short, I do believe we have – multiple land parcels with excellent potential – competent governance, coupled with scientific-based management, with detailed relevant knowledge of the GT – a credible share structure that supports future growth – and – 2021 will probably turnout to be a critical year in QEX’s history, one way or the other – and that’s not far away.
