 The way the stock has run up of late makes it attractive to shorters.

If and a big if the stock is halted and the news is big enough, we may evidence what is known as a short squeeze.
This could trigger an epic move in the share price.

The modus operandi of shorters is simple they short heavily in the morning and cover partly at the end of the day in case a news would be released after the markets are closed. So questions 2 we must adress now; 1) Is the price of the product release already reflected in the SP 2) How long QNC will delay the launch of the product , if its pushed to another

According to several posters on ceo.ca Bellido is meeting with several deep pocketed investors on Wednesday and Thursday to get word of QNC out there. If he wants to talk about the product in those meetings the product news would have to be released before then or it would be non public info and he wouldn't be able to say anything. if you are getting your information about what the company is up to on ceo.ca, you are in big trouble. Why would only certain shareholders be informed of such meetings with deep pocketed investors?  The company will put out proper news releases to inform all stake holders

Companies do investor presentations all the time.

of course they do, but they are not a secret. these things are openly discussed by the ceo to provide transparency to shareholders. to only inform certain shareholders is in no ones best interest

[/quote They may just not PR the investor meeting until a few weeks after it happens. Bellido did a interview with the Stock Day podcast on Jan. 14 but it wasn't PR until Jan 31. The speculation was QNC would release news ahead of the investor meetings so Bellido can talk about the product at those meetings. And thats what happened today.
