News Release - Drill Program

News Release - Drill Program
Rock Tech to Commence Exploration Program at Georgia Lake
10/28/2010 8:57:07 AM - NWC

Oct 28, 2010 (TheNewswire.ca via COMTEX News Network) --

(via Thenewswire.ca)

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, October 28, 2010 - Rock Tech Lithium Inc. (TSX-Venture: RCK; Frankfurt: RJIA) (the "Company" or "Rock Tech") is pleased to announce that it has signed a 4,000 meter drill contract with Cobra Drilling Limited, and has engaged Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc. to carry out 3D modeling, NI 43-101 resource estimation and other geological work related to Georgia Lake lithium and rare metals project in the Thunder Bay mining district of northwestern Ontario.

The Company's 2010-2011 exploration program is based on the compilation of available historical exploration and geological data, which includes 33,000 meters of historical drilling carried out by past operators. The primary objective of the exploration program is to confirm and expand the historical resource estimations on each claim block.

Following are the highlights of the Company's exploration plan:

-Development of a 3-D model of the historic data, allowing for Company geologists to have a greater understanding of the project geology, resulting in defining precise drill targets;

-Execution of a total of 11,500 meters NQ size diamond core drilling in approximately 45 drill holes;

-Drilling of a select number of deeper holes to determine the continuity of dykes at 500 meters below ground surface, which if successful, will aid in expanding the historical resource.

-Obtain representative bulk samples from the Nama Creek main pegmatite dykes for metallurgical testing of spodumene.

Led by Afzaal Pirzada, Vice-President of Exploration, initial field work to prepare for the forthcoming drill program has commenced. The Company's geological team is currently marking proposed drill holes, locating sites for bulk sampling and working towards obtaining permits for drill access roads. The Company anticipates the drilling to commence the first week of December, 2010.

Eunho Lee, Company President and CEO, commented, "We are very pleased to announce the initiation of our 2010-2011 exploration program. The engagement of Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc. and Cobra Drilling Limited provides the Company and its shareholders with the opportunity of advancing our Georgia Lake project in an effective manner. Our long term vision for the Georgia Lake project continues to be developing it to an economic mine operation, and today's announcement marks a significant first step in moving towards achieving that goal."

About Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc.

Caracle Creek Consulting (CCIC) is a professional geological & geophysical consulting company that provides a wide range of geological and engineering services to the mineral exploration and mining industry. CCIC was instrumental in the planning and execution of 3-D modeling and NI43-101 compliant resource estimation work for Canada Lithium Corp. at their Quebec Lithium Project in Val d'Or. Its geological team is led by Dr. Julie Selway, a pegmatite expert having extensive experience with pegmatites in Ontario, having done a significant amount of research on the Georgia Lake pegmatites.

About Cobra Drilling Limited

Cobra Drilling Limited of Thunder Bay, ON is a locally owned and operated company providing drilling services to various exploration companies operating in Greenstone Region in the northwestern Ontario. Cobra Drilling has a record of working closely with the First Nations in this region, a critical attribute to Rock Tech and its shareholders. The drilling contract is initially for a minimum of 4,000 meters (NQ size) core drilling which may be extended by mutual consent.

About Georgia Lake Lithium Project

Rock Tech's 100% owned Georgia Lake Lithium Project is comprised of four claim blocks covering 11,481 hectares. Located 145 kilometres northeast of the city of Thunder Bay in northwest Ontario, the property is accessible by Provincial Highway 11. It covers 25 of approximately 50 known lithium bearing occurrences within the Georgia Lake area. The property has historical resource estimate of 9.78 million tons at 1.18% lithium oxide (note: historical resource estimate is not NI43-101 compliant) based on over 200 drill holes with a total of 33,000 meters diamond drilling carried out in the late 1950s. Underground development carried out during that period on the Nama Creek claim block included a vertical four-compartment shaft sunk to a depth of 153.3 meters (503 feet). Two mill tests conducted by previous operators on spodumene samples from Aumacho Block indicated that heavy media separation would yield 6.27% and 5.93% lithium with a recovery of about 90%. Rock Tech's immediate plan is to bring the historical resource to current NI43-101 standards, and carry out development and metallurgical work to further expand on the historical work.

Technical information of this news release has been reviewed by Afzaal Pirzada, P.Geo., Vice President, Exploration of the Company and a Qualified Person as defined in NI43-101.
