The whole story

The whole storyDe Beers To Spend $1.32 Million on Drill Program 4/6/04 Calgary, AB April 06, 2004 FSC / Press Release De Beers To Spend $1.32 Million on Drill Program Calgary, Alberta CANADA, April 06, 2004 /FSC/ - Rhonda Corp. (RDM - TSX Venture), Glen Alston, President of Rhonda Corporation ('Rhonda') is pleased to announce that the Company has received notification from De B eers Canada Exploration Inc.('DBCEI') that the 2004 drill program on the Knife Lake kimberlite is now underway. An eleven (11) hole, 2250 metre HQ core drilling program has commenced now that the ground gravity survey has been completed. The delineation drilling is designed to better constrain the internal geology of the three dominant kimberlite lithologies and provide sufficient material for further micro-diamond analyses and modeling. Sections of the kimberlite will be processed using either caustic fusion or HF to recover micro-diamonds. Kimberlite samples may also be treated by progressive re-crushing at the De Beers Canada facility in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The total budget allocated for this program will be just over $1.32 million.Since 2000, over 1700 kilograms of kimberlite has been collected from the Knife Lake pipe for micro-diamond extraction using both HF and caustic fusion. Also, over 7500 kilograms of kimberlite has been processed for macro-diamonds (+1.0mm) by DMS. To date the micro-diamond results have returned an encouraging number of coarse diamonds with 33 stones greater than a bottom sieve size of 0.5mm. Of these 33 stones, 15 stones were coarser than 1.0 mm with 6 stones greater than 2.0 mm. Macro-diamond results from the DMS treatment of the kimberlite returned 18 stones greater than a bottom cutoff of 1.0 mm, the largest of which weighed 0.22 carats measuring over 3.0 mm in one direction.
