I think we need to keep things in perspective, much of what is going on and is possible here is not fully mature even tho this entity is a few years old and already paying out.
Seeing a positive figure for the quarter show up for it seems like the 1st time on the last report seems like a good start that things will be positive for shareholders going forward as some more projects come online, loans are being paid and more are being consummated. It will likely take a year or so for them to increase a payout in a reasonable fashion, anouther reported positive quarter would likely lead to a step up of share price.
I haven't read any commentary by the leadership here but I'm hopefully going to find stuff and start monitoring information, one of the main highlights of starting an investment is hopefully getting mailed or emailed circulars. I would like to know if they have a targeted payout ratio relative to FCF.
Seems like we get a couple new deals a quarter of various sizes, and we will need more cash injections from "Green Bonds" and likely more private placements which hopefully I'll try to jump in on if possible.
What really tipped the scale for me is the fact that they are pretty open ended on projects that are possible and that currently we are international with deals in 3 countries and might be willing to be in more, which means they have a huge runway for possible investments as a global royalty maybe in the future. Most other royalties I've seen are somewhat restrictive in terms of what they can go looking for and where they feel comfortable being, there are only so many oil/mining deals to be had, these types of deals only make sence to certain buisness types, where as generating clean renewable power has a huge spectrum and major upside.
I think if the plan works dividends and growth in them will come, but we will have to be patient and see where we go here. I've yet to see a red flag in what I have dove into here tho I'm no expert.
