What exact info

will come from the 2D info ??

Is it just to pinpoint on where the next drill should be or can they determine some estimate of resource ??

What is everyone expecting ??

Here's the lowdown on seismic data, whether 2D or 3D. Seismic data is simply a measurement of the transmissibility and reflectivity of acoustic waves through the subsurface. It is a very indirect measurement of rock properties. It does not tell you the rock type, whether it is reservoir rock or cap rock or source rock, whether there is any oil in the rock...it has to be interpreted in ...more

Thanks JimGeorge, very interesting. But I still think we need to drill many more holes over a wider area to really get to the bottom (pun intended!) if there is oil. And that will take more money and probably a partner or two.

unless Google has added seismic to there translation app it does nothing for us amateurs, look for where the next well location will be. If it's in the same basin or not, my guess same basin but south of 6-2, either the 2-7 or the 4-3. If it's not one of the original locations could be they hav to get another eia. If that happens there will be some unhappy campers.
