It does not kill it. This is normal progress. The license would not be applied for until after oil is found. It is in the exploring phase. The point is the government said everything is as it is suppose to be at this point and the writer of that tabloid article didn't fact check any of their bogus claims and doesn't know what they are talking about. Likely it was an attempt to drum up the green donors to make money off some documentary. There is a lot of money to be made in protesting so it is to be expected. The so-called greens don't understand fracking or even care about the environment. If they did, they would put forward meaningful policies to tackle GHG (like taxing end users). Complaining about an industry or upstream taxes rebated to end-users do absolutely nothing to benefit the environment. Sadly, they are more harmful to the environment.
