Great article for promotion.  Although it is written from environment issues, what they do write though is the response from citizens and governement about the hypocrisy of other countries who have made their fortune on oil and now are telling them they shouldnt have the same rights. The pros of the jobs and money that the country desperately needs. If next hole finds oil, expect a buyout ...more

I'm looking for a link to the segment. Has anyone else found it yet?

It's on the front page of the CNN International site https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/03/africa/namibia-oil-exploration-intl-cmd/index.html

They conviently left out the part where recon drilled water wells for the locals in the area. A little one sided article. But okay, energy and financial independence for Namibia is a good concern to bring up.

The white trashh wants the locals to eat rice once a day but they want a latte frapuchino or whatever it is. They want blacks to stay in mud huts but they want to live in beautiful condos. Great division of assets - The Animal Farm anyone?

If it was that damned important to you that the locals have water...where is your effort to help them? Oh that's right, there isn't any.

Here are a few points that CNN omitted to slant their message.                  Active Engagement with local communities Strong local hiring and training policy Initiated a safe drinking water well drilling program Strict adherence to regulations and environmental best practice No drilling in environmental sensitive areas Local ecosystems will ...more

So Namibia does what? Abrogate their rule of law? And still maintain their integrity?
Comment by Buyhigheatchips on May 03, 2021 10:07am
This oil below the ground will have virtually no effect on the temperatures in Namibia. What will make a huge difference in a warming world is having the money to develop and adapt to the coming changes.
