No way the Namibian Gov puts itself in the center of a potential international environmental sh1tstorm by sanctioning the 2d, unless they are pretty sure they have something that warrants it from the wells.

It's a stretch but possible, I guess. Metals prospecting relies primarily on magnetic anomalies, so aeromag surveys. Seismic might compliment an aeromag but it wouldn't add too much. If they were curious they'd be analysing outcrops, surface expressions, rock samples, and magnetic data. As far as I can tell this seismic is for deep basin analysis, too deep for a mine
