Many farmers have lost hope for getting their crops planted. I believe the deadline for crop insurance is June 15, 2010. Farmers get $50.00 / acre through crop insurance. It is not a lot, but better than nothing.
We have been trying to get work done in the area for about a month now, but unable to do so due to the wet conditions.
Wierd.......a few short weeks ago it was a drought situation and now it is a monsoon!
