Donville Kent Jan Newsletter Link Below

No mention of Reitmans in the latest newsletter. It wouldn't surprise me if they are selling or out already. It doesn't hurt my feelings at all if they are. In my opinion they have caused the difference in price between the 2 classes of shares with the idea of giving a Huge Premium to the voting shareholders. If this idea fades so will the price differential.

It's possible but keep in mind they are passive investors. They like to hold stocks for long periods of time unless they believe their original thesis will not play out.  Im a critical thinker so I don't need Jason Donville to tell me if a stock is good or not.

Critical Thinker... Toronto haha. The problem is they have gone thru proceedings and then paid bounus/ dividends to insiders who hold shares. Critical who do you think got most of the bounus? IMO

I'll repeat what I said.  I do not buy or sell stocks based on what some financial guru shares in his newsletter to investors.  I've followed Jason Donville over the years and I can assure you that he's made some terrible calls too.

I'm more than a critical thinker I actually Invest. I just wish they were out. They caused the volatility but not really complaining as I sold on the way up and buying back at a low. Keep thinking and I'll keep making money. It works for me.

You are making false accusations that they sold their position which caused a divergence between the two classes of shares. That is a bold statement and without supporting facts is an outright rumour.  Oh ok, so now you sold on the way up and timed it perfectly and purchased at the absolute bottom. Great job Savy, now I know why they call you Savyinvestor.

Critical you should get together iwith CEO and discuss various opinions and which ones matters, you will find that is exclusive, which makes your opinion worthless, and the company wrote it in the Q report, real opinions that matter that's not you critical IMO haha

O, I'm at sea and my opinion matters or possibly end up on bottom imo

I have been told that they still have a position according to this message on CEO.CA Watch the video link in the pdf to the Donville Kent new year's call and go to 43:55 and 50:35 for comments on Reitmans. They still have their position and have been engaging with management.

Odd it would be completely absent from that table in the report then.  Though if they had sold you'd think it would garner at least a mention. Volume has really dropped off here.  The non voting shares have become almost as illiquid as the voting shares.

Since when is "I wouldn't be suprised" an accusation? And if you could understand what I said it was when they first disclosed that they wanted to give a big premium to the Voting shares to effect one class of stock, that the Non voting shares declined to a larger discount than the Historical difference between the 2 classes. The non voting shares have never came back to parity since ...more
