Without transparency calculations are not conclusive First come first, I have read in detail both calculations by the two posters. I respect the effort and time to crunch the numbers. To be honest I made an attempt to do it myself with the data that is available from known documents and press releases. The trouble is the numbers can be misleading:
(1) for any contract the spread of patients in different services RPM, CCM and BHI is unknown and each service is charged differently
(2) the average rate (=the sum of the rate for three services divided by 3 ) given by the management is not necessarily a weighted average (when the spread of services is considered) which is the only number that can be used to calculate the revenue.
(3) one big unknown is out of 70k+ patients we have no idea (and I presume even the management have no idea as well) how many of them are eligible for reimbursement under the new Teaxas billing codes. We are told Clients are still doing manual paperwork sorting out who is eligible as of today, Thie progress is slow and RHT can do nothing about it.
Lack of transparency leads to assumptions and guessimations and total frustration and distrust.
