RE: RE: RE: RE: Confused by the price action Rob926,
They have intersected porphyey mineralisation, but at significant depth, around 1,400m deep. the grades are low, 0.25-0.35% Cu plus a little gold. This is expected as it is what is found and mined at the Bor pit, which incidently also had a very very high grade Cu-Au mineralisation above. RMC talk about this in their presentation. the interval of 395m @ 0.35% Cu in hole 1210 is an example of this porphyry mineralisation.
The big difference is that Bor high-sulphidation mineralisation was at surface and not 700m down. Their Porphyry was presumably 50-100m below the HS and continues for a significant depth.
At these depths and the grades which were expected (Bor mines 0.3% Cu and about 0.15% Au) it is unlikely that it will be economical in the near-mid term. You'd need to block or sub-level cave starting at a depth of 2.5km or so.....not feasible.
The high-sulphidation is the value here, there are a couple of similar deosits around the world and check out ASX:Sandfire Resources for a similar grade but slightly smaller mine in Australia.
Cheers
