Proxy Vote TDDirectInvest UK - No Corporate Action

Something fishy going on?

I hold my shares in the UK via TDDirect in an ISA and I've been waiting for TD Direct to issue the Corporate Action. Have emailed them twice and finally called them today. They have stated theat they don't see this as being a Corporate Action that they need to advise shareholders on as it is a 'merger' and seem tio think not material to shareholders. They stated that if shareholders want to vote on this 'proxy vote' they need top contact TDDirect to vote.  I've asked them to issue me a voting form  as there is currently no way of of exercising this online. They want me to confirm verbally what my vote is and they will ensure it is passed on. This doesn't seem right to me, are they having everyone over? How do I know my vote went the way I have voted? Thoughts anyone?

Sounds like BS to me. I hold RMC in 3 separate accounts at 2 different brokerages and each of them sent me the shareholder packages and voting documents.

I've advised them of my proxy vote and they have sent an email confirming that my vote has been passed on as follows: Further to our conversation today, this e-mail is just to confirm to you that your vote for your Reservoir Minerals shares has been submitted. You voted " ______" the sole resolution, and we have passed this on for you on your behalf. Should you need anything further ...more
