what leads you to believe that?

Today's announcement reveals first come first rewarded meaning some creditors will b left with nothing. That doesn't sound good to me while all bidders consider what assets they r bidding for if willing to up their bid. It's a long haul to 21 billion that's worth only 11 billion and the best offer is only 7,2 billion. That's not counting bond holders ... What a miss. I might ...more

How much for the Bond holders..Should 7 bln not cover our claim.

Hopeful, maybe you can read the article I put up, just to see if I am misunderstanding, but again this is meant to cover the first come first serve basis, but we already have that based on our order we got months ago, so unless they updated the list we would be covered, but theres been no update on that

That is what I thought and would not have seen such a huge investment by Silver point  at 95 cts if this was the case...1 buck will not be bad to get some more .

https://venezuelanalysis.com/news/court-auction-of-venezuelas-citgo-tallies-18-creditors-21-3-billion-debt/  This is from January, the first come first serve basis is already settled, we know who comes first, we are seventh, the claims are met by 7 billion, I think we were covered by 6 billion

Court Auction of Venezuela’s CITGO Tallies 18 Creditors, 21.3 Billion Debt - Venezuelanalysis Sorry the January one didn't link

We dont even need 21 billion, the only people that do is Conoco, unless you have actual proof the bidding list got updated then I'm not  sure what would result in it going down to a dollar, the new article is nothing new, at all

Venezuela’s CITGO to Brief Bidders as Share Auction Proceeds - Venezuelanalysis    Take a look at this and tell me what the differences from Jan to now are, we know our place and we've known it for a while.

...unless you have actual proof the bidding list got updated... It HAS been updated.

Can you find what the new list is then? I'd like to see it as I genuinely haven't seen a change to it, last time I checked 7 billion covers us
Comment by Rockafellow2 on Apr 02, 2024 10:31am
I think reading the report I see the four mentioned companies are guaranteed payment then the bond holders ... That will absorb the 7,5 billion bid. If the open house can not raise more in the auction the bidder takes all. That simple on old refineries and what else. Auctions are risky business in this scenario Ven looses their most valuable asset. Jmo

I don't think there were that many bonds, and they were just the first at the queue, taking about 3 billion, and I can't quite remember what the bond was but it wasn't that high, maybe another billion, so really I doubt it would miss RML
