Has happened umpteen times.

Here is the process:

Someone files with court for name of subscribers re alias/aliases.

Stockhouse gets court order to give it up.

Stockhouse notifies court they will not object.

Subscribers names, carrier, and telephone numbers are turned over to filer.

Usually all bogus.

Carriers are also court-ordered to give it up.

Sometimes poster has had another individual register for poster, and provides password to poster.

If really aggressive about getting true poster's name, have to persist and get Police or someone to track back the post with specific times and dates and obtain IP of poster.  Can be done though if one is determined. 

Blackberry I.D.'s the most difficult to trace.

Happens all the time to Stockhouse.  Google "getting IP address from Stockhouse", or something along those lines.
