Mission Clarity (on the horizon?)

I was interested in Pandora's comments on the confused mission of Route1. And so I read their current quarter MD&A as well as their news releases, forgetting what I had read 2 years ago.

With the current purchases of conpanies like Spyrus I see opportunism in the wake of covid19.

With the chip shortage I see some barriers and some hoarding by route1 which brings me to conclude that part of the shortage issue may be hoarding by many companies.

I see a decrease in sales commission expense which they explained as a change of commission metrics but it may also mean decrease in sales.

With the new hire of a Chief Tech Officer I see route1 addressing the issue that is apparent to all of us which may be called Mission Confusion.

Their "core business" has become a  "list of things" such as:

Data security
Hardware ruggedness
Hardware security
IOT security
License Plate recognition
AI

All of these items may be important and lucrative but don't present a mission. They may decide to wait, throw them all against the proverbial wall to see which stick.

Or, maybe the new CTO will develop a new vision statement, mission statement and ride that horse into an Arizona success. I hope to see that this is done and a new company vision presented either formally or through consistently focused communication in the new year.

I took the loss on this more than a month ago and I am back again at this current price point.

So, I am refreshed and optimistic, but still waiting for mission clarity.

In a nice setting such as Scottsdale is, can it be said that a meeting of the minds accomplished nothing other than the usual AGM agenda items? Did they possibly discuss the hits and misses of the company over a cold beer or two or did they just close the meeting and everybody went on their way? Until next year!

A little 'humour' from another board: The stock markets are totally about "what are you doing for me NOW" and "what WILL you do for me in the future?"   Here's the Amgen chart for perspective:  AMGN 212.25 0.93 0.44 : Amgen Inc. - Yahoo Finance

Not sure if it's the same person (maybe Flubber :-)) but we still get that small 1K or 2K buy every morning to start the day. If it's the same person he/she must have accumulated a truckload by now. $300 to $500 bucks a day for a number of years?? Faithful personified! (and good cash flow!)

Maybe someone is stocking up on azz wipe! This stuff is cheaper than bargain brand!

Yup. That tracks. Different year, same wipe.  Fact is, ROI's BOD's 'business' model is 100% proven to have zero capability of generating any sustainable enterprise growth or any shareholder value add. It's small annual income is just enough to keep it's BOD fed and watered. That's it. ROI can't even grow it's Mobikey's secure remote business solutions ...more
