Conversation with Ian Habke President and CFO

Had an excellent conversation with Ian Habke, President and CFO of ArPetrol yesterday. As he is an officer he couldn't go into a great deal of detail but my impression was that the company is truly building momentum to exploit existing low risk assets, work to develop joint ventures on their higher cost of drilling properties and an eye to expand and optimize the existing gas plant. A smart and measured plan that will, in my humble opinion, allow them to grow low risk production without any dilution and potentially get the big wells drilled on a joint venture basis, again, allowing them to work within the company's cashflow and as they own the land, get a good sized piece of the pie without spending huge capital. All very positive and in Ian's words "ArPetrol is a lot easier place to be today than a year ago." Excited to be in this one .. All the best to longs! Doc.

its hard to ignore a 24% haircut in sp in one day!!   all the positives cited by some on this board sound awfully hollow in the face of such dismal reality. please avoid promotional language of superficiality devoid of factual details.   e.g. company is building momentum, working to develop joint ventures, eye to expand and optimize..., a smart and measured plan..., professional ...more

Cant you read and understand the value profile. Lightly traded so expect volatility..... Both down and up. Some wil take profits after being up 250%......etc

"Haircut" .. "Dumping the Stock" sounds like a "bonifide" day trader trying to create volatility to me .. For every seller there is a buyer .. Wonder which side you're on today .. All the best to those longs that invest in a company based on value.  Cheers!  Doc.

Excellent summary, much as my conversation with Ian. This one is still unseen and unloved but the real value is so much higher than the current market cap that patience here will reward in many multiples. See MNV with a market cap of $275 million as a comparable......... Value always emerges...

I hope you're right with regard to the rates .. two well pairs? Do you mean 4 wells?, dual completion? I could see that, 4 new wells on production getting us to a 1000 boe/d. And I entirely agree, the company has more than enough cash flow to do this .. and also agree that at the first sign of activity, this stock is going North .. And then it sets up beautifully .. the next announcement will ...more

Doc, just to clarify the provenence of these 10 wells. They are former producing deviated wells into the offshore Faro Virgenes field. You can see these well locations on one of the earlier presentations. These 10 are  closer to shore than the 2012 well. If you go back..again to earlier posts, the current two wells....also deviated offshore....were producing over 400 boepd in 2010...both ...more

Thanks Rock, that sounds about right to me too .. have looked at a lot of the Raymond James, Canaccord and Corporate Presentation material all from before 2012 and read with considerable interest the postings here .. Most of the folks here seem very knowledgeable and oil and gas savvy .. From your thoughts, 4 additional wells should give us plus or minus 800 boe/d in addition to the 200+ boe/day ...more
