Pharand II (3)

Historical Background (cont'd)
During 1991, E. Mord continued his prospecting program on his Pharand property (42A04NE8554/42A04NE8554). "The 1991 program was basically a follow-up program to the 1990 program over portions of three old claims and one new claim. Prospecting efforts (sampling and trenching) were concentrated in specific areas where favourable results were obtained from previous efforts".
The best results from this program were obtained on the northern portion of the original claim block, and a new EM conductor was located on E. Mord's extension block (claim 1182601).
More surficial gabbro was revealed within the new protected claim to the north of the original claim block. It is quite possible that a wider area of gabbro could be found at depth, beneath the mafic schist that envelops much of the area.
One new VLF conductor was intercepted in the extreme northwest corner of the protected claim. However, referring to the topography map for this area, a creek is probably the cause.
In 1993, Ken Darke wrote a summary of E. Mord's trenches/blasting program, as well as a comment on the VLF-EM results. His summary basically reiterated the previously above comments. He stated, "The surface exploration program and the VLF-EM Survey failed to detect any concentrations of economic mineralization on the property. Due to the negative results attained to date, it is recommended that no further surface exploration be conducted on the current E. Mord Claim Group".
In 1998, E. Mord carried out a few short lines of IP survey, that covered a small portion of his northern claim block (42A04NE2001/42A04NE2001). This area basically covered RT Mineral's claim 794744 and the unstaked cell 42A04F140 to the north. At the same time, he put a short drill hole (100m) down on one of the IP anomalies (more on that later).
