RE:RE:Paladin 2.0 Fastforward.....funny that Eugene Melinyk is po pooing tax inversions knowing that it was he who set up Biovail that way ..way back....anyway, yes RX has a simple Canadian struture , and I consider this a positive ...I could see a mini market crash of the tax inversions if the US does come down on them,,But imo I would much rather the business stand on its own two feet, instead relying on its business strategy... There are other less obvious problems with tax inversions also, for example, if you were the FDA reviewing a NDA, or clinical trial, from a company who just did a tax inversion, knowing also that business market share will go to the inverted co from other non inverted cos, whould this shade your judgement... On the same tact, RX workes with govt's on getting approvals--- you see what I am thinking...
All that said, rx still could benefit from tax differences simply because canadian corporate taxes are less than US ... and if a us co wanted to lower its taxes to canadian levels they could buy out rx... but that is not something we have to focus on because rx will continue to benefit canadians with mediical products and also support the Canadian tax structurewith its simple and honest structure.
