Frustrating

To say the least we need a game from management as to how they are going to get the gold out of the ground They have a 145 day window to mine here as i understand it until they do that this IMO could go either way Thought out there

I bought in today @ 56c. They must be sitting on an awful lot of cash. They had the PP in May for $52 million, of which $7.5 million is earmarked for Shawn Ryan to pay for the properties. That still leaves us with over $40 million. At 56c per share, we are not paying much for the expertise of the gold miner of the year for 2010. A few months ago. some people paid 4x as much. There has not really ...more

Dig deeper Bob. $15 million for work. Ryan drills 0.62 gram gold. What's the burn rate for the company? How much for salaries? You need to hit the gold too. Look at ATC and KAM and see their results. Drilling in June again? When will results come out? Dec 2012? Is this good news? 0.62 gram gold in the Yukon? The selling tells the story. This property is their flagship. Ryan ...more

I would then suggest you should sell sell sell Tom. I myself have not completely given up on the ability of Shawn Ryan to find gold. Thoses Ida Oro results were mediocre but I still think he can find more gold. If you have no faith, or feel this gold should be found within the next 3 months, you should have sold yesterday.Bob

Bob, no thanks for the investment advice unless you are qualified.  Had my $2 selling price.  Might buy if it gets in the 30 cent range.  Could be dead money for a while?  Peace bro.

These are terriblñe results, and for all the money that was raised for the Yukon, it is a real disappontment. The only one who is making anything is Shawn Ryan, he certainly took the bankers to the cleaners on this one.

Lets get real people. Before we get total agreement that Shawn Ryan is a total crook, just remember those are only 11 holes in a vast land package. They did find some gold, just probably not enough to be viable. From my viewpoint, some people got a little too carried away with the value of RYG. The only thing of value they had was Shawn Ryan. A lot of people invested at $2 in him. I was not one of ...more

The best surface results were drilled. They always are. The Yukon promote was based on anomalous soil samples that every company and/or geologist has done at some time. It is not a new exploration technique and not invented by Mr. Ryan. A soil sample anomaly has no indication of the grade of the bedrock and since this anomaly was drilled, the results are poor and now ...more

You make it sound like they shot their entire wad and came up empty.Where are you getting your data Kazaa?I get mine from their financial statements.I can't get it to paste right now but it is on page 5 and 6 of their financial statements for Q3. They budgeted $4.3 million for Ida Oro and most of that money may end up being wasted unless they get better drill results. That happens. But where ...more

They raised over 50 million to be spent in the Yukon. The results are terrible. The company is called Ryan Gold. They have to stay in the Yukon as Shawn Ryan only knows the Yukon. That is what they promoted. Over the next several years my bet is that they are going to spend all the cash chasing a Yukon resource. If they decided to move elsewhere, it will show they have ...more

see what quarter 4 report says.  Quarter 3 was 4 months ago. Kasaa got a good point.  If they miss in the Yukon then what?  Lot's of surface taken for samps.  Drilling is true test.   Expensive.  When drilling again?  June or July?  Resuts come in December again?  So when does upside come?  This could take some time.  ...more

This is an exploration company in the Yukon. Early stage at that. It most definitely does take more time. They will not be doing any more drilling till May probably. And yes, there is no guarantee that they will find any gold worth mining. And yes, they will probably only prospect in the Yukon. Added to that, a lot of prospectors never find anything. Their stock ends up worthless. What I do know ...more

There is no doubt that Shawn Ryan is a great prospector but this company has a very limited geographic focus and very limited potential if their Flagship property continues to return sub-economic grades. It appears to me that Mr. Ryan is working for several companies exploring the Yukon while being the President of Ryan Gold. Therefore if these properties don't pan out in ...more

Where do you get that data? Which other companies? What other properties?Bob
Comment by kazaa on Dec 20, 2011 10:57pm
Bob you must be joking. Doyou think that 100% of his time is spent on RYG?
Comment by bob4977 on Dec 20, 2011 11:57pm
No. I am not joking. Nor am I making vague references to some looming disaster without an iota of data. Do you or do you not have any data regarding all these other companies? I seem to recall that a news release stated that he sold all of his properties to RYG. I will only look it up for you if you can find a news release stating he has current dealings with other companies. Answer my last ...more

hey bob.... before Shawn got involved with Ryan Gold, he sold and optioned hundreds if not thousands of claims to other companies.  just Google "Shawn Ryan Yukon claims option" for a small list.  There are lots.  Also, he owns an exploration services company (Ground Truth Exploration) and I believe part of his agreements are that these companies use his services company to ...more

As per what I have read in previous posts, I would say that calling Ryan Gold "dead money" and that Shawn Ryan "took people to the cleaners" may be understandable given the share price and expl results, but still a bit off-base. IMO Ryan Gold raised a pile of money at a high share price using Shawn Ryan's name and his properties.  When the mega-financing was done, a ...more

If you look at the drill results and share price, most of these "Large Investors" were hyped based on a sampling method that every company uses. It is not new. These institutional types probably aren't happy but they bought this hype. Most fund managers aren't explorers.   With that being said, Shawn Ryan is talented and patient and he has down extremely well. Good for ...more

Dave - not true - take a look at Victoria Gold and AM Gold.  Both have great properties and are growing resources rapidly.
