I like the partnership, IMO this will make it easier for the consumer to shop, from selecting the product, chatting, sales transaction, payment and inventory tracking and reporting.

put your opinion of me aside for a sec. Real talk. I think it cheapens the brand. This is for startups and small time vendors. RYU is supposed to be a powerhouse. With a payroll and management team like that it's almost embarrassing. Again this is coming from a positive outlook on the company. Constructive criticism.

@Chime, what the heck man? You claim they do not have enough brand awareness so now they are expanding their product offering and you call them juvenile. Before they never had enough social media awareness so they get a brand ambassador and you don't like the selection. This is still a start up company, where do you get that they are supposed to INSTANTLY be a powerhouse? No company ever is ...more

I'm not mad bro! Lol. I'm just being honest I don't think it's on brand. They have REALLY expensive brick and mortar locations already which are award winning and hubs in their respective communities. It's a good model. This is just kind of meh. I'm not ripping them a new pooper here, come on relax guys.

I’m going to come to your defence with some observations.  Management’s execution and follow through has been poor.  The Goop initiative...gone...Canuck’s initiative...gone...Yyoga...can’t find ryu mentioned on their site...Nordstrom...whoops.  You get my point.  We see constant reference to 30% increase in revenues ...more

Your points are not valid any more. The past had missing parts to steer the company in the right direction. Expertise in building the business is in place. Board members whom have built brands and raised financing now are steering the company. International ambassador is in place to build the brand. Cost cutting measures are in place to build the business. Bringing the business to generating the ...more

I hope you’re right, but I believe you may be overly optimistic.  Past execution does matter. And yes, I do follow the company, and that includes going through numbers and stock and warrant issuance carefully.  Fluffy press releases and spin don’t do much for me.  Given the current numbers and outstanding shares, the growth will have to be exponential for this to make any sense as ...more

unfortunately past performance was missing the drivers in building the business. Now these elements r in place. You can't compare the past and the present. They thought the product would sell its self due to the performance of the flag ship store on 4th initial performance. To many stores were put up, cash ran out. @Sal1958, well said and very accurate. This is a start up company at the 3.5 year mark ready to take flight. Now is the time to get invested as patience will be very lucrative and rewarding. The sp is there for the taking. GLTA.

Nordstrom only has 6 locations in Canada. It was an opportunity for RYU to mostly showcase their bags along with a limited selection of menswear items, hardly the full female and male repetoire. It was an opportunity to associate the brand as a premium product in a premium setting but being in Nordstrom barely scratches the surface of brand awareness.
