Salt

I'm not into SALT, just following the story to see how this plays out.

I'm a little concerned with all the valuations out there...yes, it's a big deposit, but putting super high valuations based on the resource is extrem.

Anything that cannot be mined in 25-30 years is not worth much today.

Is it going to be a 2M+ tons per year, maybe 8M+ tons?

Great story, but don't be too greedy! :)

IMO.

I agree and everything points to a buyout at 13.00 to 16.00 ONLY. We may get an offer of 6 to 8 but with all hands staying tough it will be 13 to 16.   This said the probabilty is (60 percent) no buyout as suiters will decide to make Atlas work for it assuming all the challanges of a new development. Based on the resource though and the proximity to the ocean and port it can be done. I ...more

You need to get up to speed son. DD required..... You are wrong on so much in that post.
Comment by MoneyK on Aug 05, 2022 7:59pm
I would tend too agree with your numbers. This is possibly a 40M to 160M EBITDA company thats not yet in production. Anyone dreaming about 76$ per share, wake up! :) IMO. MoneyK
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 05, 2022 8:08pm
jesus dude where are you getting your numbers.... I wont get into it too deep but here is the 1000 foot view... 1) lets say a conservative (low) 8 million ton per year production to start. Moving to 10 million. 2) The price last season was $80 per ton at end of season. Lets assume $70 (low ball) 3) Prices are rising because of the Justinflation and castro bankrupting the government for his great ...more

Sales is not profit. Just compare with Compass. MoneyK
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 05, 2022 8:46pm
once again apples and oranges.  Compass is very deep, old, uses shafts and very very expensive. Atlas will  be new, mostly atuomatic, use ramps, and will be super low cost. They could produce and sell at a profit for what compass spends to get it out of the ground. Your DD is lacking.

Lets see what the FS says, but thinking this project is worth 6-7B is crazy. MoneyK
Comment by coalnow2 on Aug 05, 2022 9:42pm
Why. Was voiseys worth 4b plus in the mid nineties? Also a high cost per ton and in a very remote part of the world.  resource was there and had big value and why INCO paid 4b for it 30 years ago
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 05, 2022 9:52pm
When the voiseys bay was boughtout it has an estimated ore value of 30 billion. It was a greenfield with zero infastructure. No power no roads no dock. Thedy had to build a multi million dollar transport ship, build a port, bring in generators, diesel and start from scratch. Then they had to mine, ship, refine the ore, there were enviromental issues with tailings and refining etc etc etc Atlas ...more

$SALT and Company will be the refined version of Voisey Bay with all the advantages of as you stated....power infrastructure, Trans-Canada, deep-sea port....the Hold Standard of Salt Mining shallow, high-grade, factory in place.....the advantaged Voisey Bay 2.0h my gosh this is a Steroid Playa Haha....gonna run like Tapia running Home lol. $SALT, $VUL, and now the upcoming Triple (x3 our cash ...more

so 80-160 billion in value is not worth 6 billion you say?
Comment by MoneyK on Aug 05, 2022 11:06pm
Nobody will pay $6B if after it takes 40 years to make a profit on that investment. The numbers need to make sense. MoneyK
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 06, 2022 12:37am
40 years to make a profit?  Where are you getting your numbers son.  This mine could easily be making a profit around or greater then 400 million a year.
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 06, 2022 12:39am
Clicked too fast.  .....  400 million to 600 million per year ot more
Comment by MoneyK on Aug 06, 2022 12:46am
The only information available now is that it's 2M tons per year with scalability. MoneyK
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 06, 2022 4:48am
Yea and thats like well over a year ago. In the videos its talked about i cant remember 6 or 8 to start. Vulcan listed 4 million ton orders already committed And that would be the handshake deals mr salt has made with people he knows and thats before the ground is broken. There are multi year contracts and others that will quickly come looking for the high quality and lower cost salt.   ...more

Crunch: Yeah, 2 million tons long gone from the conversation...Rowland figures whoever buys it opens with a 4-6 target, with an eye on 8 in time. As this develops into the lowest-cost producer in North America, Demetree might install a second set of ramps and go for 12. Why not? The transport infrastructure is there, he already owns the supporting staging sites scattered about the markets he ...more

I have been saying a second tamp could easily be added once the first one has maxed out. Also i adked IR about that and he said building new docks have been discused to be built on the claim. The plan IS for a huge salt factory.   $76++ pps in a bidding war. yup
Comment by coalnow2 on Aug 06, 2022 10:37am
You do understand if someone pays 5b for salt - that asset value now goes on that companies books.  Then once running and becomes the lowest per ton producer and selling 500mm or more per year with crazy profit margins - that companies earnings per share are better. As such that companies market cap increases and increases.
Comment by Laruch12 on Aug 06, 2022 12:11am
valuation should be close to compass, with 4 or 5 times production and lower costs. Rowland pretty clear o that.. 6 or 8 dollars a share is not based on reality. The fs should settle this disagreement. They are developing this resource in order to sell it..double digit price imo

Most of the posters here are shareholders and we are all very optimistic about the future of this company based     on current events and possible outcomes. However, all of the forecasts are pie in the sky until someone might approach the company for a takeover. Therefore, to use an old expression, “we’ll have to wait and see”! Too many people counting their money before it’s in front of ...more

I agree grannie as no one should invest any more than they can aford to lose. There are no guarentees.
Comment by Crunchy2chew on Aug 05, 2022 7:56pm
This is a 100+ year deposit at more then 10 million ton per year. The only reason it wouldnt be mined in 25 years is if the great reset is allowed to happen and the world has been depopulated. Where did you get 25-30 years lol
Comment by MoneyK on Aug 05, 2022 8:04pm
I'm not staying it will take 25-30 to mine or that it will only last those years. What I'm saying that expected profits too far away in the future are worthless today. 100$ in 30 years is not worth much today. IMO MoneyK

It's good you're not invested in SALT if you have personal concerns. Best you stay on the sidelines and watch
