Special AGM

I suppose there will be more clarity after the meeting as to why the SP is unraveling

big kick in deez fukin nuts is what this is!  pretty sick of watching -10, -11% a day!  WTF is going on? no change in fundamentals that i can see, unless we hit a big SNAFU in the FS?  the spinout shouldnt affect this at all, unless things are moving behind the scenes with OTHER companies and not our domes?  maybe we aren't the only game in town, these other salt deposits i ...more

Im in the same boat.  Should had sold but f'd up and didnt.  I bought into the hype.  Nothing to do now but maybe buy in lower and hope it recovers.  If she gets down under $2.50 then I'm a buying more.

general360 I agree it is hard to see SALT share price drop as it is. I traded this on the way up and did well but bought a long term position recently and am underwater now. It has surprised me how much like a penny mining stock this has traded lately as if SALT was entirely speculative.

I'd consider buying some around these levels and the SP decline although unpalatable is not my main concern it's the volume and right before this special AGM. If the volume was light I might believe it's just retail. This kind of money is institutional. The smoke will lift at some point and we will soon see what's going on.

agreed, you dont see this kind of volume with a massive drop in price unless "something" is going on.  And a sane person would believe that something to be not good. Doesnt help matters that when normal decline in sp after a large increase is looked worse upon due to the insane BS levels of pumping that went on here.  $76/ a share give me a break. Will the collaps of SP stop ...more

A sane person analyzes the data and reality around the situation. A lot of investors are exiting their positions before the spinout and AGM to lock in profits and avoid any unexpected news out of the AGM. The spinout for them is irrelevant they either feel its value is baked in to the current share price and will only lose value afterwards or they simply don't see the value in it. I do a lot ...more

I put alot more value in the "free shares" and didnt realize or think that way of thinking was wrong until it was too late.  I believe no one cares about the shares in the spin out.  If they did they would just buy them when it was possible.  I thought the price would hold longer until the spinout occured then drop off.  It was a mistake.A big one.

I have been keeping a close eye on the Level 2 and there's definitely someone or someone's unloading huge chunks to lock in gains. There was a block of 86,000 shares with an Ask at 3.06 first thing this morning when all the prior orders were at 3.15 Ask so someone is clearing exiting a position. Why? Anyone's guess.

Hopefully its because he or she got caught elsewhere and needs cash in a bad way and SALT was their only winner at the time. Now that its been happening I see it continuing because that is the trend.  Manipulators will push this down as far as they can assuming it will go back up.

With Vulcan Minerals shares losing over 41.6% of its peak value, and Atlas Salt losing nearly a 1/3 of its peak value in a short period of time, I think that an emergency AGM is needed to keep their share prices under control. Otherwise, they will become salt industry's version of FSD Pharma.
Comment by Canticle on Aug 31, 2022 2:35pm
*eyeroll* Losing 41% over a peak value is nothing on a speculative stock, especially since that peak value was over 400% from the year ago price. This is why retail investors who think they know what they are doing so often demonstrate they don't
Comment by Donwaan on Aug 31, 2022 3:52pm
Canticle, I am a retail investor who has come up through the penny mining stock ranks. This recent drop is a rude reminder that SALT is a speculative investment. As such it is like all speculation very volatile both upwards.

Wasn't referring to you specifically, but more the hysterics about needing a special AGM to address the share price and 'What's HAPPENING?!' posts. I mean the stock is up 231% from a year ago. It's up 106% from 6 months ago, and it's only down 5% from a month ago. You're not wrong but sooooo many people don't get it.

In my opinion, a 50% retracement between the bottom and the top of this run is not abnormal for this type of stock. MoneyK

oh dont go questioning the sp here.  The pumper patrol that have been selling this entire time will get very angry with you if they havent sold all their shares yet. Que the guy with the "what do you mean unraveling" question ha Losing $1.53 in less than 2 weeks be normal i guess
