New 52 week low

New low for the stock and Howard.

Years of over promising and not delivering has caught up to Howard.  He has burnt all the bridges he has crossed and left himself stranded with no place left to go.

This is the first time in many years of holding that I'm genuinely concerned about their ability to continue operations given the fact they can't raise funds.  It actually scares me they may be doing a run around with the Sirona Labs entity and leave all the SBM shareholders out in the cold.

They can always raise funds. It just may not be at the 10 cents. If they raised 1 million today at 5.5 cents, likely no problem. Nothing has fundamentally changed from January other than that misfire on the pp.

The current share price is somewhat self fulfilling. We complain over the share price, very few are willing to buy and we fear that it's game over (which I think is an overstatement) driving the price down even more. So do you want to see the opposite direction? Start buying.

So why aren`t YOU buying?

Yes, for sure, a big part of this current downward pressure is a result of what people read here. While the company posts their disclosures of what they want us to know and believe, the arbitrage is in the grey zone and the only source of information is how people are interpreting the disclosures. When the grey is seen as darker grey, it trends down, when it's lighter grey, we trend up.

Worst case they can always sell a project, like the Abbvie contract. There will not be a default since there are unleashed value in the projects and scientific platform. The first sell-off was triggered by the private placement that was reckless to launch just after securing a loan and positive NR round the corner. The management should be blamed. For some strange reason people started to sell ...more

Howie just has to provide guidance on when AbbVie expects to launch, or if they plan to.  But like others have said, he has ran out of fingers to stick in the holes of the Dam and public unpalatableness is now overflowing. People want out of this disgrace and willing to settle for whatever residual value they can get from their shrinking equity. The share price is heading to Zero and Howie is ...more

I doubt AbbVie has any respect for Howie, whatsoever. They just threw a few bucks at us to lock up a supply of 1067 just in case they decide to go forward with it. Because they have no respect for Howie, or SBM for that matter, they probably aren't even talking to anyone at SBM. We won't know anything until AbbVie makes a major move. That could come at any time, or never.  But make ...more

If the AbbVie deal was going to start paying royalties or milestones soon then Howie wouldn't be looking for future financing routes.  That doesn't bode well for the AbbVie deal in general and points to a much longer timeline for product launch than anyone anticipated or wanted.  I bet that smile has been wiped off Howards face after closing that deal.     This ...more

I guess you cannot read? What if AbbVie refuses to tell SBM anything? SBM is a tiny insignificant company compared to a behemoth like AbbVie. Why would they think they would have to keep us informed? They don't care about us. But don't get me wrong, I am sure not defending Howie and all of the bs he has fed us over the years.

Pareto, you are so spot on in evaluating and commenting on the current situation.  Thanks for putting it out there as a reminder and yes, it would be an ideal subject case for an MBA study!!! When I first got into this wounded eagle 16 years ago, I thought SBM was an acronym for "Should Become Millionaire, but now it simply means Stupid Bunch of Morons.  Sorry to have to point this ...more

If you think SBM is unique in the ability to struggle, you haven't had much investment experience. Yes, SBM has stubbed its toe a few times, but if you can't recognise the potential here, just sell and move on.
