Zimapan

If the stock remains halted through the weekend i think we may be looking at seller's remorse.

Zimapan's owner was thrilled to have SantaCruz' lease payments.  Even more thrilled to escalate the lease into a sale.  Sale done. Silver going to the moon.  It's 'omigodwhathaveidone!  I'm giving this thing away!'

So they attempt a shakedown.  'Well i didn't really sign the mine away just yet...could take some time through yearend when your lease ends...'

It's a dirty business, mining.  I doubt this is happening.  But wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Agree - assume  Cash cost per oz of $18 and realized price of $23 - that's $5 cash margin per AgEqOz. Let's get a little aggressive and go with 400k AgEqO per month - that's $2 MM per month in Cash Margin.  It's reasonable to estimate that they could generate $5-10 MM in internal cashflow, leaving 13-18 MM to finance. With a payback of 1-2 years, they might could pull ...more

They even bought some time by selling Zacatecas, before they even knew about the latest silver price explosion. Santacruz is able to extend the deadline for the payment to 31 march 2021! The Management accepted the bet of a rising price of silver already in 2019. Santacruz is even able to pay Zamipan by itself without any dilution. I hope they just go in full production till the end of the year ...more
