Rhino Resources drilling block 85 Nov24...booom

So the next door block to todays new block announcement have contracted Noble rig and Halliburton for Nov for a minimul 2 well contract.....how good is this folks.

Upstream today

Halliburton has been awarded a deep-water integrated multi-well construction contract by Rhino Resources for the privately owned player in Namibia's Orange basin.

Earlier this week, Rhino said it had awarded a contract to Noble Drilling to use its Noble Venturer drillship to drill at least two exploration wells in Block 2914A, starting this November.

Under this agreement — which Upstream understands was more or less finalised last year — Halliburton will provide complete solutions to construct exploration and appraisal wells, along with testing services, extending its country operation facilities to support all product service lines from Namibia.

Jean Marc Lopez, head of Europe, Eurasia & Sub-Saharan Africa at Halliburton, described the agreement as "a strategic milestone to harness the full potential of Namibia’s oil and gas sector”.

Rhino chief executive Travis Smithard said: “The opportunity for catalysing local services and the broadening of positive economic influence in Namibia are expected to establish a valuable legacy for the Namibian people well beyond our initial exploration campaign.”
