OPEC Pledges to support Namibian Exploration

Translated as OPEC are willing to offer anybody who has anything to do with Namibian O+G unlimited BJ's , dailly, just to get Namibia to come to the table and become members haha.....global oil is worried.....they know what's coming and realise Namibia will be potentially one of the most powerful producers.
Sorry is it really 4 blocks we have our grubby paws on here or am I dreaming , LOL.

Paul Burkhardt, Bloomberg April 24, 2024

(Bloomberg) – OPEC pledged to help Namibia become a significant crude producer, widening a path for the southern African nation to join the group.

“We are excited about the potential of the Namibia-OPEC partnership and stand ready to offer support at this crucial juncture,” OPEC Secretary-General Haitham Al Ghais said in a pre-recorded message broadcast at a conference in Windhoek, the capital.

TotalEnergies SE, Shell Plc and Galp Energia SGPS SA have made multiple finds offshore Namibia in the past two years. The government has said it would consider joining the group if the discoveries turn out to be significant.

Global oil demand will grow to 116 MMbpd by 2045 and “Namibian oil and energy will be essential in meeting future demand,” Al Ghais said. “We encourage potential investors to look at Namibia and the abundance of possibilities here.”
