As we head into the final stretch of 2016, this has without a doubt been the year of virtual reality. In 10 years we will view 2016 just like we view 2007 when it comes to smartphones. In fact the growth of the VR market may be even faster than that of the smartphone. So, it's certainly been a big year for the space, but 2017 could be even bigger, with numerous new headsets on the horizon and content streaming in like never before. Below are 11 predictions for the VR/Ar Space over the course of 2017:

-- August 2017 - Facebook Rolls Out Social VR in a bare-bones format
-- September 2017 - Google Reports 30 Million DayDream-ready Smartphones on the Market, 8 Million Daydream Headsets Sold
-- September 2017 - HTC Vive 2 (Oasis) Unveiled - Features eye-tracking, foveated rendering and 4K. Wireless is a possibility, but unlikely.
