It takes quite a leap to go from:

"CEO Brendan Iribe is stepping down to lead a new PC-focussed Oculus unit."

To:

the core social platform, which WILL be tethered...

The CEO moving simply says that they will improve the PC based VR. Period. The article is actually more about Facebook/Oculus expecting greater takeup of low-cost mobile VR for social interaction.

As for me being the only one to not get it, perhaps I'm the only one willing to confrnt you when you're wrong.
