RE:Molex's current and future data center offerings
This site talks about the QSPF-DD HARDWARE spec and NOT a communications cable or a Molex product. It describes the industry standard for 200G and 400G data transmission requirements, a spec S7's cable meets. It is a standard independaqnt of the transmission medium (copper or fiber) and is not a Molex product unless Molex builds the the actuall end connector and so has nothing to do with cost or energy use as compared to Spectra7's recently announced active copper cable.
The 90% energy and 65% cost savings Raouf talked about earlier compared S7's active copper to similar capability fiber cablses offered by others, including Molex.
