S7 also put out an the press release saying the S7 cables work well on Mellanox's ConnectX5 network adapters.  Odd, because S7 did not mention there was a partnership anywhere, just that their cables work with Mellanox and CA-N specifications.  Could be that since the NR, Mellanox has decided to brand their own S7 cable and include with their switches?  Nvidia is in the process of acquiring Mellanox.

Either way, i really hope it's a really big name.

Actually that makes perfect sense...even more likely than Cisco. I'll take a Cisco or a Mellanox/Nvidia adopting our cables...either way we win. We are the "Picks & Shovels" of the future of Data Center Interconnects...
