I disagree that they led us on. I have read dozens of tech articles since 2018 predicting that the rollout was happening "Now," "In 2019" and so on. Then the trade war with China happened, and Tencent slowed their roll:

Now China data centers are back on, and the US data centers are ready to roll as well.

Yes, there was a delay, but Spectra7 is neither at fault, nor did they lie about it, as the many trade magazines were also taken by surprise.

Now we are back on track, but instead of just China data centers being on the table, we also have US based Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, etc...
