RE:5g ?5G suppose transfer data as a much faster rate. I think I read somewhere before that it can let you finish downloading a blue ray movie in seconds. And enable a lot of things to be calculated in the cloud and then feed back to our mobile devices. Some mobile carriers built their own data centers and subsequently sold to the data center REITs like EQIX. But some still do them on their own. A reason that VR and AR didn't go off like it was supposed to I believe was due to a difficult comprise between mobility and battery life. A light headset will either give up on picture quality (high def requires a lot of energy and data) for battery life. And a heavy one can accommodate both but then you can't use for long because of the weights and cables. Either way hinders the user experience. 5G takes care the computing part remotely and just need a reliable way to transfer that from your phones to headsets...being it tethered or not...
