RE:High grade core is 10 to 15 million ounces of gold megacopper wrote: This post below is exactly what I estimated for the sweet spot of SGD's Valley deposit. And as Quinton Hennigh pointed out with similar type deposits the lower grade halo could actually contain more gold than the higher grade core. My guess is the high grade core will contain somewhere between 10 and 15 million ounces of gold averaging between 1.5 g/t and 2 g/t and the lower grade halo will average between 0.5 g/t and 1 g/t with a similar amount of gold perhaps even more than the high grade core.
Incredible world class gold discovery. Still early days in the discovery phase but the ultimate value of SGD will end up being multiples of current levels. If market conditions were more favourable the stock would undoubtedly be much higher. Gold stocks are beaten up right now so it's a good time to buy. Just sayin
@The_Realist @dreadnought I didn't do anything fancy with math calculations to come up with the 1.8gpt. I don't think there is enough information to come up with something very accurate. I wanted to use something more conservative to leave room for upside. If these holes (10, 15, etc.) start to come back 2gpt+ for hundreds of meters the 12m oz higher grade core just got even juicier. If they don't and the higher grade core comes back at 1.8 gpt that is still 12M oz at surface at 1.8gpt (+ the ounces from the moderate to low vein density areas). Unheard of
And as someone else pointed out that for every 0.25 g/t increase in average grade on a large gold deposit of this size it will add roughly an extra 2.5 million ounces of gold on top of that 12 million ounces within the high grade core. Amazing. It has been a very long time since I have witnessed a gold deposit this good at such an early stage of discovery. Arequipa down in Peru back in the 90's is the only other one I can think of that looked as good so early in the discovery phase. I know I sound like a broken record on here talking to myself but this discovery is mind blowing. It's a shame market conditions aren't better but things can change in a hurry with the gold market. Now is the time to buy when everything is beaten down in the gutter.
