First Six Holes

I've been hoping that SGG's careful research and mapping will lead to some fabulous snip-like drill intercepts this summer. After reading today's NR, I'm not so sure.

If they had intercepted the iron-sulphide ore that they've been targetting with their EM analysis, then the black bands would have been clearly visible in the core samples. Even better, if they had hit iron-sulphide which contained high-grade ore, then some of the gold should have been apparent. Had this been the case, it would have been appropriate for today's NR to report that one or more of the core samples contained visible mineralization. But no such mention was made.

So, they've cut their costs a bit, perhaps by making the first six holes a bit shallower than originally planned (the initial holes had an average depth of 250m, it seems). If they'd hit something exciting, the the natural response would be to use the extra funds do some additional drilling in the vicinity of where they just found the iron-sulphide veins that they'd been looking for.

Instead, they tell us today that they're using the saved money to: a) drill in different spots from where they've drilled so far; and b) do some further BPEM surveying (perhaps because the 3D model that was built based on last year's BPEM work has been found to be less accurate than hoped?).

At any rate, we've been promised drill results in 2 weeks, so I guess we'll soon find out one way or the other.

Why tell everyone 2 weeks if they found nada? Saying you have VG is overrated, i own a stock That bragged about VG in every core and they released good results but not as good as first holes and have since been pummeled in a brutal market. Here's hoping they found what they wanted early on and have been rushing to get the assays done... They want to raise money at higher levels with ...more
