Sokoman Minerals Restarts Moosehead Project Drilling Following Christmas Break

12:18 PM EST, 01/19/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Sokoman Minerals (SIC.V) edged up after the company on Tuesday said it restarted its exploration-drilling program at the Moosehead gold project in Newfoundland following a Christmas break.

The company said the first of the program's two rigs has begun drilling, focusing on defining a high-grade deposit on the property. A second rig is expected to arrive next month and will focus on targets identified in 2020 geophysical surveys and sampling.

"Our goal for the first half of 2021 includes the completion of at least 20,000 m of drilling, of which at least 15,000 m will test the core areas of the Eastern and Western Trends and 3,000 to 5,000 m will be directed towards testing the multitude of targets defined outside of the known zones," chief executive Tim Froude said in a release.

Sokoman shares were last seen up C$0.007 to C$0.237 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
