During the inspection process of the drill cores prior to them being cut in half and sent to the assay lab for processing, the SIC team would be searching every inch of same for indications of visible gold and other for geological information that will assist the drill program. Perhaps a core has a particularly wide quartz zone or other area of interest. Having a rich drill core may be discernable via visual inspection which could make Tim "pleased with the results" before any hard data results are returned from the lab.

As for the "barge work" they are referring to mounting a drill machine onto the barge so that they can drill into the ore body while sitting on the lake/pond etc. This enables the drill to approach the mineralized zone from a better angle which hopefully will results in longer strike lengths etc.  It also enables drilling to continue through the wet seasons as the barge is not affected by muddy terrain and it can simply shuffle along the desired drill corridor,

Kewl, thanks for your post.

Yes, I have seen photos of NFG cores that have bits of visible gold llttered across the exterior of the core, which woiuld be an indication that the assay results have a great chance of being outstanding, so it makes sense that seeing such a thing would make one pleased right off the bat before the cores are sent to the lab.....

Your explanation of barge work is also appreciated. Thanks again for taking the time to post....
