The whole sector declined. All the charts show the same pattern. Miners fell out of favour as money flowed over to tech and I.A. stocks.
Take a look at Newfound Gold which has the most fantastic drill results of any company ever. They went to over $12 a share when they had fewer holes drilled and fell below $4 when it has become apparent there will be a major mine for their deposits and only recently has their share price recovered some as Sokoman has recovered some.
