It takes naked shorting or some pretty big balls to short this stock at these prices.  The potential of gold and silver to run hard at any time are very real.  One quality drill hole in Nevada or the Yukon (even though probably won't happen to a couple months) is also very real....cash alone justifies 1/3 of the current price (understanding that it will be spent on drilling

Not sure these programs work in this sector ie. NGE a favourite of mine close to a discovery and they just say "Stay away".  Shorting does work though as the majority of assays disappointment but you would miss out on the big strike. That's why I am here to be part of the anticipation and excitement.  Oh and your 100 baggers!

Looking4 So if I participate in a PP and there is a 4 month hold!  The stock runs up I want to lock in profits I can simply short the stock can I not.  I am protected from some extrordinary run up in that I own the shares I am shorting?

you may be playing it smart givemeabreak1, though ethically I'm not sure I agree with you.   Personally I would prefer those PP's go to someone who believes in the company a little more....the last thing we need is anchors to the share price.  The PP's sold fast and oversubscribed to my knowledge, so we probably would have survived without your money. in the end, you

Look4  It was an observation that heavy trading seems to start sometimes weeks in advance to the actual hold period coming off.  If could be people dumping knowing the hold is coming off but thinking it could also be those who participated in a pp unloading before the drop.  These days forget the number but think it is around 50% of trades are either done on the dark side or
