News Out

News Out Wake up every one, News out Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, Mar 21, 2006 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Benton Resources Corp. (BTC - TSX Venture), (the "Company") is very pleased to announce the assay results from the final holes completed during the second phase drill program being conducted at the Bamoos/Bermuda property. Diamond drill hole BO-06-22 encountered multiple zones of thick mineralization. The upper zone, situated in oxide cumulate, intersected 61.5 metres (m) grading 1.12gpt TPM (Total Precious Metal = Au+Pt+Pd) and 0.08% copper (Cu). This interval contained narrow zones of higher grading material including 9m of 3.02 gpt TPM and 0.1% Cu. The lower zone in gabbro intersected 34.5 metres grading 0.5 gpt TPM with 0.21% Cu. The drilling to date continues to show widths and grades comparable to some of the largest intersections from the Marathon deposit to the south. The company is also encouraged to see the higher grading mineralized zone noted in the extension of drill hole BO-05-06 (Ext) similar to that intersected in the previous reported hole BO-06-20. Drill hole BO-06-22 was weakly mineralized to the bottom with the last 11.4m assaying 0.7gpt TPM and 0.27% Cu. This hole will be deepened in the next phase of drilling. Drill hole BO-06-21 was stopped at a shallow depth due to the volume of syenite dike material. More information is needed to determine the size and orientation of the syenite dike. The mineralized composites of the last three holes completed on the Bamoos Option are listed in the table below. Drilling has resumed at the Four Dam Lake Zone area where Benton previously intersected thick intervals of copper-rich ultramafic rocks at the contact between the Proterozoic-aged Coldwell Intrusive Complex and the underlying basement Archean-aged rocks. The Company will release updates as the program continues. All samples were submitted for analyses to Accurassay Laboratories in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The Marathon deposit has been drill defined to the boundary of the Bermuda property and the latest upgrade calculated a resource of 2.1 million ounces of platinum-palladium-gold combined along with 348 million pounds of copper (MAR PR Feb 27, 2006).
