While watching the video I noticed the Natural Gas link up at the top of the page. So after the video I clicked on that link. I never knew that SRI had a working interest in part of a gas field ! Exxon Mobil ( Operator ) and Shell are majority owners of this. Sparton's share of these reserves at this time is 19.4 Billion Cubic Feet.( I don't know money wise what that is worth either ...more

Wonder what 19.4 Billion Cubic feet of gas is worth at todays depressed prices ? My calculator don't go that high. : ( ....Bluetick

They've owned it for over 20 years and have had it marked at $1 since 2013.

It's carried on the balance sheet at $1. They took a half million dollar or so impairment charge in 2013 and marked the asset value to $1, implying there was no value for the assets given the current and forecasted outlook for gas prices.
