Dear Investor, Please see the attached SugarBud facility update presentation as well as comments from the CEO, John Kondrosky, below about the status and progress of things at SugarBud’s facility in Stavely, Alberta. “We remain very much on track with the guidance we shared in early February and continue to make excellent progress against our operational and commercial priorities. Growing takes time and quality is our primary concern, so we are admittedly taking a very methodical and deliberate approach to our first harvest. It is not just about the plants as I am sure investors can appreciate, it is also about aligning and refining a very complex integration of people, plants, processes, mechanical systems and structure. However, that I am very pleased with where we are operationally on this first harvest; the team is doing an absolutely fantastic job with the plants and the facility overall. Overall, we continue to build good momentum operationally and with a clear line of sight to first revenue (which we expect to begin in early Q2), I believe that despite the broader market issues we are all facing at the moment, SugarBud has a lot to look forward to in 2020. Unlike so many of our peers that are trying to manage back up from a sharp downward trend, SugarBud is truly just getting started. It is important to remember that we are still very much a pre-revenue corporation. Given the churn and month over month declines we are seeing in the sector overall, our share price continues to hold up relatively well. Make no mistake our share price is not where we want it to be but I am confident that the business is focused on the right catalysts to drive sustainable future value for investors and consumers alike. With that being said, rather than simply try and describe the environment in Stavely in words alone, please see the attached newly minted Facility Update Presentation which has now been posted on our website in the Corporate Profile section. – https://www.sugarbud.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/SugarBud-Facility-Update-March-2020-Final.pdf Given that a typical harvest cycle is not a 1 and done activity in and of itself, but rather is a series of critical sequential steps (Clone 14-21 days, Veg/Flower 8-10 weeks , harvest, dry/cure (10-14 days), trim, test ( 5-7 days) and final QA release) press releasing the level of detail contained in this presentation would be both challenging and impractical beyond simply stating that we have harvested. The harvest in and of itself is certainly an important step but it is the totality of the full cycle that is most notable. A picture is worth a thousand words as they say, and I believe that our investors will like what they see in the attached slides and be proud of what the SugarBud team is doing in Stavely to create future value for this Corporation. Feel free to share the attached presentation and link with colleagues and as always if you or any other investors have any questions do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.
